We are seeking experienced Learn to Swim Teachers who are passionate about delivering high quality, fun Learn to Swim programs to join our Aquatic Centre Team. Both casual and permanent part-time opportunities are available for the right candidates.
About the role:
Learn to Swim Teachers provide exceptional customer service, implementing learn to swim programs meeting industry best practice standards and maintain a positive profile for Sunshine Coast Grammar School community.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide high quality, results focused and professional Learn to Swim teaching to the Learn to Swim and School swimming programs.
- Writing sets for the sessions in consultation with the Learn to Swim Coordinator where required.
- Work effectively within a team to foster a inclusive and customer-focused environment that promotes enjoyment, participation and ongoing engagement.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all areas of Learn to Swim by attending regular courses.
- Provide excellent customer service.

Sunshine Coast Grammar School's state of the art facility, the Grammar Aquatic Centre consists of a 50-metre FINA certified pool, a fully enclosed Learn to Swim Pool, Gymnasium and Café.
About you:
- Successful candidates will have:
- Experience Requirements:
- Hold a current recognised Swim Teacher qualification and be signed off as competent to teach independently, with active experience delivering swim lessons.
Qualifications:
- Must hold current swim teaching qualifications (e.g., AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia Teacher, or equivalent).
- Must have current CPR certification (and ideally, First Aid and Lifeguard certifications).
- Qualifications must be fully completed — staff who have only completed a swim workshop or are awaiting practical hours are not eligible for paid roles at this time
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Commitment to child safety and wellbeing
Grammar Aquatic Centre is open to providing volunteer opportunities for new Learn to Swim Teachers to complete training hours. We encourage you to submit an expression of interest to find out more.
