Beaudesert Swimming Club is seeking a Coach to join our team.

The position would suit an established coach or consideration would be given to a person with a swimming background wanting to step into a coaching role.

Beaudesert Swimming Club is based in Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim, approximately 60km from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Beaudesert Swimming Pool is an 8 lane heated 50m pool. We have a large club house adjacent the pool with gym, canteen and amenities.

Beaudesert Swimming Pool opens for approximately 7 months per year and our season commences Monday 22nd September 2024 and concludes Friday 3th April 2025 (subject to change). Employment would be for this period under a Casual Contract, approximately 25hrs per week during swimming season; Mon – Fri morning squads, Mon-Wed & Fri afternoon squads. Attendance at Thursday Club nights (held weekly during school terms) and competitive meets will also be required, as approved by Club Committee.


Applicants will require the following qualifications:

• Development Coach accreditation (or ability to obtain)
• Coaching experience with competition experience
• Current Blue Card - working with Children
• Current First Aid, CPR certificate
• Current SCTA membership

Skills and Abilities

• Experience in developing and leading a team to deliver a season and session plans.
• Ability to design, coach, and oversee a development plan for all squad groups including the nurturing of non-competitive swimmers within the club.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Understanding of the relations between coach, club committee and facility owner in the swimming club environment.
• Demonstrated history of good communication with swimmers, parents, fellow employees, committee members and technical officials.
• Have sufficient management skills to assist and/or lead a group of athletes and deliver a successful and continually evolving programme.
• Ability to create an environment for swimmers to thrive and have success.
• Commitment to the values and behaviour of the Club.
• Able to represent and promote the Club.
• Experience of working collaboratively with others.
• Good organisational skills.
